Tracking & analytics
GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversions, Meta Pixel and Conversions API. Set up properly, tested, and documented, so your campaigns optimize toward the truth.
Free, no call required
A 15-minute look at what fires, what doesn’t, and what’s counting twice, sent back as a short written note. If it finds a problem, you know what to fix. If it doesn’t, you’ve lost nothing.
Symptoms
Not dramatically. Just enough that every decision you make on top of it is slightly wrong.
One counts twice, the other misses half. Nobody reconciles them.
So one lead can look like four, and your cost per lead looks great on paper.
For a service business, that's usually most of the actual revenue.
Reservation platforms, iframes, third-party checkouts. The conversion never makes it back.
No Conversions API, so iOS and browser privacy are eating your signal.
What I set up
Property setup or cleanup, key events, ecommerce, audiences, and reports that answer business questions instead of vanity ones.
A clean container: no duplicate tags, proper triggers, data layer where it's needed, and a naming convention your next person can follow.
One clean conversion per action, primary vs secondary set correctly, enhanced conversions, and offline conversion imports where the CRM allows.
Server-side events with proper deduplication and event matching, so Meta stops flying blind.
Shopify, WooCommerce or custom. Full purchase funnel, real revenue values, refunds handled.
Consent mode and a tracking setup that respects Quebec's Law 25 and GDPR, without throwing away all your data.
The hard cases
Most of my tracking work arrives after someone else has already said it can't be done.
What you get
Standard website, GA4 + GTM + one ad platform: $750 to $1,500.
Ecommerce or multi-platform with server-side events: $1,500 to $3,500.
Third-party booking systems and iframes: quoted after I look, because the answer genuinely depends on the platform.
Not sure which one you need? The $500 tracking audit tells you, and comes off the price if you go ahead.
What clients say
“If you are an ‘accidental techie’ at your organization, I HIGHLY recommend Simon. With Google Analytics changing to G4, I was lost on how to set up goals. Simon was wonderful! He is a great teacher with lots of patience. Now, I have two big wins. Not only is G4 set up correctly, but I am now trained on how to execute these functions.”
“Simon is so knowledgeable about Google ads. He made it simple to understand the step-by-step process to get my ads up and running. Highly recommended!”
“Extremely knowledgeable and was able to navigate the details of multiple Google marketing platforms.”
“Excellent experience with Simon, easy to set up, and great advice (+ exact tools/steps) to meet our business needs. Seller was also very helpful post our meeting, and our meeting was recorded for me to go back to.”
Questions I get asked
That's most of my tracking work. WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, custom builds, and the reservation platforms that sit on top of them.
A properly configured GTM container adds very little. Part of the job is usually removing the duplicate and abandoned tags someone left behind, which often makes the site faster.
Not everyone does. If you're spending seriously on Meta, or your conversions matter more than your traffic, it's worth it. I'll tell you honestly if you don't need it.
I set up consent mode so tracking respects the visitor's choice. You stay compliant and you keep modelled conversions instead of losing the data entirely.
Yes, that's the training offer. Most clients want the setup plus a session so their marketing person isn't afraid to touch it.
Twenty minutes on a call, or a $500 tracking audit that tells you exactly what's firing, what isn't, and what it's costing you.
